Comparing China and the United States

The second grade students did some comparisons between China and the United States.  Here are some of their comparison statements.
The capital city of China is Beijing, while the capital city of the United States is Washington D.C.   Mia
China celebrates the New Year with fireworks, similar to the United States celebrating the Fourth of July.  Bryan
In China they use chopsticks to eat, similar to the United States using silverware to eat meals.  Destiny
China has the Great Wall and on the other hand the United States has Mt. Rushmore as a site to see. Hector
China has the Yangtzee River and on the other hand North America has the Mississippi River. Perry
The Great Wall of China has a lot of steps and a lot of people, however the United States has monuments of presidents.  Shirley
The United States language is English while China's language is Chinese.  Chris
In the United States, we use silverware to eat while China eats with chopsticks. Brian
The United States is similar to China because they both celebrate a New Years.  Emily

China has Giant pandas that eat bamboo but on the other hand the United States has the bald eagle that eat worms.  Bailey
